Properties & Typical Applications

2205 microstructure is approximately 50% ferrite and 50% austenitic, which results in the steel possessing high strength and hardness, and resistance to erosion, fatigue, stress corrosion cracking and pitting and crevice corrosion. Used in ocean, oil refining, chemical fertilizer, paper making, chemical, petrochemical and other seawater resistant high temperature concentrated nitric acid heat exchanger and cold shower device.
